The Wallas 1200D is a dual zone, boil and simmer, diesel-powered hob and one of the most efficient ways of mobile cooking available for off-grid living. Designed for compact marine and vehicle installations and to complement modern boat and vehicle aesthetics, it delivers reliable performance without the electrical burden of high-draw alternatives and the complexity of gas systems. 

In real-world off-grid scenarios, the 1200D offers dramatically longer cooking time. Our example power-use calculations, based on a 314 Ahr lithium battery, show you can cook for over 12 days (up to 10 hours of daily cooking at maximum power), and run a Vitrifrigo C50i 12 Volt fridge throughout this time too. By contrast an induction hob will consume far higher amperage and a larger inverter to run (minimum 3kW) and will only run for about 1.25 hours on the 314A/hr battery.
