Power for Larger Campervan Conversions

The MultiPlus inverter allows suitable 230V equipment to be operated from the leisure battery when mains power is unavailable. This makes the kit an excellent choice for conversions requiring more than a basic 12V system, including those fitted with kitchen appliances, laptop chargers, televisions and other touring equipment.

When mains hook-up is available, the MultiPlus automatically supplies the connected mains circuits and charges the lithium leisure battery. When mains power is disconnected, the inverter can provide 230V power from the battery bank, subject to the installation design and appliance power requirements.

Efficient Charging While Driving

The Victron Orion XS 1400 provides controlled DC-DC charging from the vehicle's starter battery and alternator. Its wide input and output voltage range makes it suitable for 12V and 24V applications, while its configurable charging settings allow it to be matched to the vehicle and leisure battery system.

Built-in Bluetooth connectivity allows settings and operating information to be accessed through the VictronConnect app. The Orion XS also incorporates engine shutdown detection to help prevent the vehicle starter battery from being discharged when the alternator is not supplying power.

Next-Generation Lithium Battery Technology

The included Victron Lithium NG battery uses LiFePO4 chemistry and has a nominal capacity of 200Ah. Compared with a traditional lead-acid leisure battery, lithium technology provides greater usable capacity, faster charging, reduced weight for an equivalent usable energy capacity and a substantially longer potential cycle life when correctly installed and operated.
