Often referred to as an “all-blue” installation, the principal power, charging, protection, distribution and monitoring components are supplied by Victron Energy. This provides a smart, coordinated system with consistent build quality and straightforward access to important operating information.

Premium System Monitoring

The included Victron Cerbo GX MK2 acts as the communication centre of the installation, bringing information from compatible Victron equipment together in one place. The GX Touch 50 provides a clear, dedicated five-inch touchscreen for conveniently viewing the system from inside the van.

When the Cerbo GX is connected to the internet, compatible system information can also be made available through the Victron Remote Management portal. This gives the owner a convenient way to review system operation and monitor their installation remotely, subject to suitable internet connectivity and system configuration.

200Ah Lithium Power for Extended Touring

At the heart of the system is a Victron 12.8V 200Ah Lithium NG battery. LiFePO4 technology provides an excellent combination of usable capacity, charging performance, reduced weight and long potential service life when compared with a traditional lead-acid leisure battery of equivalent usable capacity.

The battery provides a substantial energy reserve for common campervan equipment such as compressor fridge freezers, lighting, water pumps, USB charging outlets, diesel heaters, televisions, laptops and other suitable 12V or 230V appliances.

230V Power and Mains Hook-Up Charging

The Victron MultiPlus 12/2000 combines a powerful inverter and mains battery charger in a single unit. When no electrical hook-up is available, the inverter can supply suitable 230V equipment using energy stored in the lithium battery.

When connected to a suitable campsite or home mains supply, the MultiPlus can supply the connected electrical system and recharge the leisure battery through its integrated 80A charger. Its automatic transfer functionality allows the system to change between external mains power and inverter operation as required.

The suitability of individual mains appliances will depend on their rated power, starting demand, operating duration and the overall installation design.

Efficient Alternator Charging

The Victron Orion XS 1400 provides controlled DC-DC charging from the vehicle electrical system. It is ideally suited to larger campervan conversions where efficient charging while driving is an important part of the overall energy system.

The Orion XS can be configured to suit the battery and vehicle installation, helping to deliver controlled charging while protecting the vehicle starter battery. It is particularly useful in modern vans fitted with Euro 5 or Euro 6 intelligent alternators.

300W Solar Charging

The kit includes two 150W SlimEdge MHD solar panels, providing a combined nominal solar capacity of 300W. The panels feed into a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 charge controller, which manages the available solar energy and converts it into suitable charging power for the leisure battery.

Solar charging helps replenish energy used by lighting, refrigeration and other onboard equipment. It can reduce reliance on electrical hook-up and alternator charging, making the system particularly attractive for touring, wild camping and off-grid use.

Actual solar output will vary according to season, location, panel orientation, temperature, shading and weather conditions.

Integrated Lynx Battery Management and Distribution

The Victron Lynx system provides a neat and professional approach to high-current battery management and DC power distribution. The Lynx Smart BMS 500 NG is designed to work with Victron Lithium NG batteries and provides the central battery management and protection functions for the system.

Professional Installation Required

This package contains the principal Victron, battery, solar and monitoring equipment for the system. Additional installation components will normally be required, including correctly rated battery cables, terminals, bus connections, isolators, suitable fuses, solar cabling, roof entry components, mains protection equipment and installation hardware.

The final cable sizes, fuse ratings and protective devices must be selected according to cable lengths, connected loads, vehicle layout and the applicable installation requirements. Solar mounting arrangements must also be selected to suit the vehicle roof and panel installation.
